About SociopreneurID
Our journey began in 2013 as a university-based club called Technopreneurship for Youth, focusing on developing creativity and innovation skills among children and young people. By 2015, the initiative expanded beyond campus activities by providing platforms that connected innovative ideas with the specific needs of external stakeholders, including government institutions and business organizations.
As the scope and partnerships grew, the initiative evolved into a social enterprise in early 2018, with a clearer focus on social innovation and entrepreneurship education. It was formally registered as Sociopreneur Indonesia (SociopreneurID) and has since developed programs spanning youth development, teachers’ training, societal volunteerism, executive education, and global knowledge exchange—while remaining grounded in its original mission to bridge learning and real-world impact.
Our Rationale
Education systems, organizations, and communities are operating in an environment marked by rapid technological change, social inequality, and economic uncertainty. While access to education has expanded, the relevance and applicability of learning often lag behind the realities people face.
SociopreneurID was established to respond to this challenge. We believe that entrepreneurship—understood not merely as business creation, but as a way of thinking and acting—plays a critical role in enabling individuals and institutions to adapt, innovate, and contribute to inclusive and sustainable development.
